HELP (Helping Entrepreneurs Learn from Peers). Our mission is to provide a safe-haven for leaders of entrepreneurial companies to discuss challenges we all face. Our goal is to improve the entrepreneurial community and environment in the Pittsburgh region. I will be airing our frustrations and offering ideas on improving the entrepreneurial climate in our area. Please join in and HELP us make Pittsburgh better for everyone; for when entrepreneurs succeed, the whole community benefits!
I am somewhat eclectic in my "tastes", enjoying an extremely diverse range of things. I enjoy playing poker with the guys and attending lectures on world affairs. I have season tickets to sports teams and theater groups. I love intellectual discussions (pick a topic), but am also happy in my recliner watching sports. I was born in Northampton, UK; grew up around Pittsburgh, PA; lived in northern Indiana while in college; moved back to Pittsburgh and worked for Fortune 100 corporations, government and higher education (CMU); took off for LA where I lived for 11 years, most of which I worked at Universal Studios; came back to Pittsburgh (again) and have been involved in a diverse array of entrepreneurial activities. I now provide strategic advisory services to startup companies through my consulting firm, NuCoPro, and serve as Executive Director of Help Startups.
