A Tale of Two City (organizations)

Well, it seems that the Pittsburgh Technology Council and TiE Pittsburgh have decided to take on each other. Either that or they are clueless to the fact that they've scheduled important events at exactly the same time.

On February 15th, PTC, with the CIO Forum, is hosting the third annual CIO of the Year Dinner. This is THE event in the IT field in Pittsburgh, always playing to a packed house. And then along comes TiE Pittsburgh with an Open Source Summit at precisely the same time, AND they line up an all-star group, including Ray Lane, one of the premier global names in the VC field.

My problem is how do I clone myself so I can attend both events? The CIO dinner is very important to my company and provides fantastic networking opportunities, BUT the Open Source Summit is equally important, yet in a different context.

If only organizations like these could check and see what else may be scheduled. Oh wait, that's one of the many features that our new Entrepreneurs' Web Portal will provide - a comprehensive, on-line events calendar!
