Fireworks II

A month ago in my Fireworks post I talked about the undercurrent swirling around town that "things" needed to change cause the existing way wasn't working regarding support of entrepreneurial activities. I'm seeing more evidence of that and have had discussions with some of the people who are actually in a position to facilitate these changes. They have universally agreed that new directions are needed and want HELP to play a role in achieving these objectives.

I'm sorry, but it's still too early to be able to divulge any details, but be assured that forward movement has occurred and will continue to occur. My meetings have been informative and revealing, and have lead to referrals to other VIP's in town to appraise them of HELP's agenda. This week there are several meetings that are of major importance to the advance of entrepreneurial activities in Pittsburgh, and I promise that I WILL keep you informed as I can release information.

One thing I am very excited about is that it looks like the HELP proposed web portal (AKA, One Stop Shop) for Pittsburgh Entrepreneurs is getting closer to reality. There's still a long way to go, but as the old cliche' states, "The stars are aligning!" Keep your fingers crossed!

BTW - did you note Cori Shropshire's article about the two economic development organization's from Cleveland, JumpStart and BioEnterprise, visiting here to discuss collaboration? Perhaps my message in the Sibling Rivalry post is resonating!
